This policy explains what data we process when you visit Sextante
(sextante.fpardo.net), why, and what rights you have. Sextante is a free suite of
financial calculators; our guiding principle is to process as little data as
possible.

What data we process and why
Calculations in your browser
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The values you enter (savings, income, amounts, etc.) are not sent to or stored on our servers. You do not need to register to use them.
Portfolio and account (optional)
If you choose to use the portfolio feature, you create an account with your email address (passwordless magic-link sign-in) and we store on our servers the positions you record (symbol, quantity, average price, broker and currency). This data is necessary to provide the portfolio-tracking service.
- Legal basis: performance of the service you request by registering.
- You can export all your data (JSON) and delete your account at any time from My account; deleting it removes your account, your positions and the access granted to applications.
Connected applications (MCP)
You can connect external apps or AI assistants (for example, Model Context Protocol clients) to read or modify your portfolio on your behalf. This connection uses the OAuth 2.1 standard:
- Access is only granted after your explicit consent on a screen that states which application and which permissions (read and/or modify the portfolio) it requests.
- When you use a connected application, you share your portfolio data with that application's provider, which you choose; that processing is governed by the provider's own privacy policy.
- You can view and revoke any application's access at any time from My account → Connected applications.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can configure or block cookies in your browser without preventing you from using the calculators.
Recipients and international transfers
When you connect an external application (MCP), your portfolio data is shared with the provider you choose, which may be located outside the European Economic Area. Apart from that case, we do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Retention
If you do not use the portfolio, we do not retain any personal data of yours on our servers. If you do, we retain your account and your positions until you delete your account. Access granted to applications (OAuth/MCP) is retained until you revoke it, and expired tokens are deleted automatically.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict processing and to data portability, as well as to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise them, write to us at the contact address.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a
complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (www.aepd.es).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical changes. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
